Almost everybody knows of a kinky twist, which is the twisting of really very thin strands of hair making it look like little braids of hair bursting out of the scalp. Later continuing into a twist, after twisting the whole strand a small rod is being twisted on by the hair and dipped into hot water or the whole strand is braided and then dipped into hot water.
When dipping in hot water the overall effect results in a crinkled effect. There are also some braiding machines available for kinky twists, but many people agree that they are not as effective and do not give the final ‘look’ or ‘style’ as a handmade kinky twist does. An average of a day is required to get the kinky twist completely ready. Variations either include usage of extensions for additional grip or may be because you fancy colorful extension.
